WHO ARE WE?
Hello and welcome to the Tri State Human Resource Association (TSHRA) website. We are pleased to support you in your role as a member of the human resources profession.
TSHRA is a not-for-profit association that serves the Human Resource professionals in the Tri State area of Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Originally started as the “Tri-State Personnel Association”, our chapter later became affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 1995 and changed to Tri-State Human Resource Association. We are also active members in our State SHRM Councils.
Today, just as we did in 1995, we continue to strive to provide opportunities for growth, networking, continuing education, community involvement, and leadership for our members.
Our members represent a variety of industries, including: banking, education, healthcare, government, and manufacturing. Our meetings usually have something for everyone. If you haven’t visited a meeting yet, please join us as a guest and see if TSHRA can help you in the Human Resources field.
If you have any questions, please contact any of the Board Members listed, or send us an email. We’ll be glad to help you. Meanwhile, please feel free to browse the SHRM links. We look forward to seeing you soon.
The Tri-State Human Resource Association, in its continuing effort to enhance, develop and improve the human resources discipline, will provide a forum for human resources professionals to: confidentially share information, exchange ideas, utilize the Association as a general resource that provides networking and professional support.
HOW WILL WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION?
Monthly Programs: Luncheon meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Guest speakers address a variety of subjects that cover a wide range of HR issues. Most meetings will qualify for HRCI recertification credit.
Networking: Exchanging ideas, developing professional relationships, increasing your knowledge base.
HR Job Network: We provide job opening listings to members.
Legislative Updates: Keeping abreast of important changes in employment laws.
Volunteer Leadership Opportunities: Serve on committees to help determine the future direction of the association.
